more questions about 9007 conv.
Ok here is my story.
Yesterday i went in other town with my friends on the way home rain started fog e.t.c. I recently got my sylverstars 9004 but i couldnt see a ****. passing me cars were doing 60-70 miles and i couldn't drive more than 50 (i thought wtf neons and cavaliers has more light output without any upgrades then family sedan does ) avoiding any accidents i got home.
Now i'm thinking to do something with my lights and i have a couple of q.
If i'll do 9007 conversion without harness upgrade will it give me good impovement or i got to buy harness any pics.
Will i lose my driving lights if i just switch wires on connection.(canada)
What do you think guys about all this lightening crap on maxima.

best bet is a projector retrofit (for people who have money). But if you want to do the 9007 conversion, get the heavy duty 9004 to 9007 adapter for the harness. I haven't done it yet, and not planning to cause I'm going to retrofit, but there is some other thread out there, and DIY somewhere in here. So look in there first. There is some other things you have to do to make the bulb fit into our headlights.

I wouldn't expect a big difference, I did mine and not much of a difference, a little better. I would try aiming your lights first, if they are not aligned right. There is a write up on the entire process, cheap and effective.

silverstars have a terrible output in rain or fog. they are tinted blue so there goes some of the light spectrum, mostly the uselull yelloish light. as mentioned aiming them may help, but i belive its more in the coated bulb you are running. xtravisions are one of the best bulbs out there, so think about switching to them if you cant see in the fog.
as for the conversion, just swapping the wires and running 9007 will give you better visability. you dont need the harness but it does help get every last bit of power to the bulbs.

i dont really know how to explain this, but to fit the 9007 bulbs u also kinda have to shave or file down what could only be described as a "bump" inside the harness or watever u wanna call it...hope that worked, lol
