painted corner inner chrome black, match ae heads. links to pics.

I wanted my corners to look better with my recently done AE headlights, so I cracked them open the same way and painted them entirely black. I love the way it looks. I thought I'd share and post pics so anyone else considering it can see it for themselves.

The light output is definately reduced, but as they're not functional (on 4.5 gens at the least), I am happy with how it looks both during the day and at night. I might "rewire" the corners to make them brighter, ive not decided yet.

I was thinking about doing this once the weather gets nice. Did you just use the same paint you used for the AE? I couldn't tell from the pics, but is it a flat black or a gloss black? Either way, I think it looks great. Maybe tint your bumper lights now?

it's the same spray i used for my headlights, gloss black de1613 duplicolor engine enamel with ceramic, got it from walmart for a couple bucks.

i was thinking about tinting them, ill have to give it more thought. i dont want to crack them open and do it, i have a feeling that would look trashy, but smoking them might be nice. i just need to find pics of it...

edit: woot, three hundreth post!

get the clear corner lights and paint them, i think its a better match to the 97-99 headlight without those vertical lines

CE has the "AE'd" corners now for the same price as the regular clears

I was thinking about doing the AE'd style from CE in my corners. With a black max I think it may be too much to do all of the corner black so I wanted to do the outside like the headlight. Think that will be too much black?
