No. I would not someone borrow my car that I didn't feel comfortable no matter what my car is. It's YOUR car. If you don't feel like letting them use it, be honest, and just tell them.

edit: turn off your caps lock Nancy

I still don't understand the problem.

So you use their stuff, and they can't use yours, even though they take good care of it? I care for my maxima as well, and nobody drives it, but I never borrow anyone's car.

I dont want to further add gasoline to this thread but:

Based on what you said, if they are more than willing to offer anything to you when you are in town, its extremely selfish (as you already said) so want to skimp on the hospitality just because you want to baby your car. I can understand not wanting anyone else driving your car but, this is family which should come before the car anyday.

You can ask politely for them to be extra careful with the car? And if the dont have bad habbits as you stated then whats the problem besides your being paranoid?

I wouldn't even be mad at my cousin, I would just be pissed that it happened while it was in HIS possession. For me, I don't want to put that responsibility on them.

Well When Im In Their Town, I Ask Them For Anything Including Their Car And They Would Never Say No. Its Just The Fact That I Care For My Maxima Too Much And Im Still Trying To Baby It. Therefore It Would Be Very Impolite To Say I Can't Let Him Borrow The Car Without A Reason. And A Reason Like Mine Would Sound Pathetic To Someone Who's Not A Maxima Enthusiast. Dont You Think?
