Stagnet, I'd recommend using an O2 sensor socket. I picked mine up at Autozone for like $8. You can use a 7/8" open end wrench, but I prefer to use a socket designed for the job. The most important thing is making sure you protect the sensor during, after removal, and during re-installation. O2 sensors are pretty expensive and can be easily damage from shock. Be very careful not to drop or bang them around. The general rule of thumb is that the most power gains can be achieved from opening up the exhaust flow nearest the engine. The further back you get, the less effective the mod. Nissan has one of the best OEM cats as far as flow, so save your money on replacing that until it goes bad. The B pipe can be a good mod, but again, I'd wait until it goes bad. The Y pipe is the first step in exhaust mods.

t6378tp, the drive train of your car does not a difference in the Y pipe. It's the emission type that will determine the compatibility. Check to see if you have a fed spec or CA spec car. You can tell by the VIN number or the emission sticker under the hood. If you have a 4th gen. fed. spec. car, then the pipe will be the same for 1995-1999 models. If it's a CA spec. then the pipe will be different. There were some recent threads talking about the differences.
