hit a curb ;(

I was driving home last night at around 11:30, went into a left curve too fast and understeered into a fairly low curb (pass side front tire hit). Not sure if I went over or bounced off or whatever. I've been barely touching the throttle, avoiding every single pothole and crack in the road and cornering very slowly the rest of the way and today on the way to work and back... havent gone over the speed limit once. The car tracks perfectly straight, no steering problems or vibrations. Occasionaly theres a wierd sound or feedback but its different every time so it might just be my imagination.
Here are some pics: http://community.webshots.com/album/548706424qgTZRs

The little thing (no idea what its called) on the bottom of the rim (pics 3, 4, 5) is a bit loose, the rest you can see in the pictures.
Do you think there is/could be anything wrong with my car?

Thats the wheel weight that tire shops use to balance your wheel they pop on and off. Tap it back on with a hammer. Your rim looks fine and dont see any bump in the side wall from the Pictures so you should be fine.

yeah, the wheel weight is no big deal mayn. the sidewall just looks a little scuffed up in the picture, i dont think its a big deal.
go get your wheels rebalanced when you get a chance if your worried about it.

Why is that poor car so dirty...that's probably why you understeered...
Just playing, hopefully everythings alright. How fast were you going?
And put some air in those tires...

I was once cutting through a snow covered parking lot at about 30kph. Ran over a real nasty curb that just looked like a pile of snow. The suspension checked out fine but it bent a couple of the sawblade rims, now the car vibrates at high speed. Moral of the story: Try not to run over or into sh&^t.

Doesnt seem to bad. I would just get the wheel re-balanced & maybe an alignment, then see how it feels. A car wash would'nt hurt either!

Give it time, after indicenes like these the problem a lot of times doesnt surface immediately.

Check tire pressure, get them re-balanced, and keep your eye on that side of the car for anything esle as you continue driving.

Thanks a lot fellas, part of the load is off my shoulders now. I'll rebalance next week. As far as the dirt is concerned, Im planning on washing/waxing the car and cleaning the interior as soon as it gets a bit warmer lol.

99SEL4ME - I know, I know. It was very very stupid of me and wont happen again, I'll take it a lot easier now.

Update: went for a rebalance, they took the tire off and said its "no good" due to an air bubble. Is this true or are they simply out for my money? They will give me a used tire and balance it for $35. What do you think?

Your car will feel weird with a different tire on one wheel than the others--I drove that way for about a week before I found my Z32 wheels. But I say go for it, unless you had expensive tires on there. Just make sure they're not morons and giving you the same size tire, but take it easy afterwards, your car will behave differently around left turns than right turns (when you're turning hard).

My thoughts excactly, I would change out the tire as it is not safe to ride it the way it is.

Might not be a bad idea to get the tire changed. After I ran over a curb, 3 of the tires went bad but not at first. The belts inside them broke, one had a big bubble sticking out the side, then one on the rear simply disintegrated into chunks on the highway. OK, so maybe i was been a little cheap trying to hold on to those tires. After that whole tire falling apart thing though i got them all replaced.

that'll buff right out

i doubt he needs a tire change. one time i was riding my bike and went over a curb and my tire blew right out. if its holding air its fine... you can get them tested before u get a whole new tire.
