how to indentify wore out break pads besides removing wheels
welll I've been hearing the humming sound when I'm almost stoped (5mph -> 0mph) and I never heard that before... it is not the sound of a missing break kit (metal clips) becasue it happens at any temperatrure, and I'm only having this sound after one year of owning the car...
does this has to do with seize calipers?
fronts breaks feel hot to the touch (but not burning hot)
rear ones feel almost cold.
yeah it is kind of a dumb question, but I've been sick lately and can't spend too mcuh time outsite checking that out.
P.S. can't figureit out if the sound comes from the front or back breaks...

Im not sure what that could be. usually worn brakes make a schreeching or squeeling sound. And its normal for brakes to be hot, theres a lot of friction going on there. The rear brakes are cooler cuz they arent used as much. Im sorry to say that you should just wait til ur better and then look at them.
X-Ray vision.
Unless the sensors are touching, there is no way. Just take off the wheels, if you haven't already checked them you might as well just take them off and check.
I would check all 4 just incase you are getting uneven wear.

if you have steelies you're gonna have to take them off... but since you could feel the brakes and tell they were hot I am gonna assume you don't... so just look at the brake pads from the side and see if they have any meat left
