question regarding riding on dead springs/good struts and vice versa
Last year, on my 4th gen, last I changed all 4 OEM struts to kyb GR2, paired with the OEM(dead) springs in hope of a better ride. Since i didnt have enough $ at the time and couldnt take the rough ride anymore , I chose to only upgrade the struts. Then about 3-4 months ago I came across a set of S techs and now have them on the car. The ride is slightly better but my question is, after riding with the 1 year old gr2s and 3-4 month old s techs, would I have an "near perfect" ride if I purchased a set of tokicos, and used the same S-techs that are a few months old? or are the S-techs worn from riding on the gr2? I did some searching on here but couldnt find much info related to my direct question.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

typically springs dont wear out. the age you are talking about is no long enough to weaken the spring. the struts should be fine too since you paired them with oem springs. but the stechs will shorten the life of the strut no matter what. they are just to low.
