205/40/17 how will they look??

anyone have any pictures of smaller tires on stock suspension??

the reason Im asking is because Im looking at some 205/40/17. I know my speedo will be off and Ill get worse gas mileage but it will make my 0-60 and quarter mile faster...im just worried that they will look funny.

They won't look too great. Your car will handle better (although you should get wider tires than 205, that's garbage) and accelerate slightly better but it will definitely look funny.

Edit: ^^ yeah, they don't look too hot... it almost seems like you're a wannabe burrito rocket that's not lowered yet...

No, you want 235/45/R17, 40 is the wrong aspect ratio for that width.

^ +1, don't go to a 40-17 until you're 255mm wide or so.

235/40/18 works perfect for 18's. you would want 45 for 17s as others have pointed out.

u wanty 235/45s that is the recommended up grade......the 45 means its 45% of the width of trade which is 235... which ends up being 105.75mm....so u can calculate fromt here depending on different widths of tire

Will a 235/45/17 tire fit on a 7.5" rim?

Well i had 225/35/r18 tires on my car and it looked a little wierd but my car wasnt lowered. So i traded rims with my buddy, his max was lowered and the rims looked so nice on his car. Anways i would think they would look good IF your car is lowered

i have 35's.........on my 17's i had 235/45, and they were nicley beefy and filled up the well pretty good. I think smaller tire would make your quarters alittle slower

Yes, 235/45/17 is an optimum size tire for a 7.5" rim.
