help tranny leak

help tranny leak

i go outside today and see tranny fluid drops all over my driveway and i was like wtf?@!?!?!. so i put the car up and see that the sensor that plugs into the bottom of the tranny is leaking. does anyone know what this part is called and the part number for it. should i replace it or just reseal it when i replace my clutch this weekend

replace it.. its the park neutral switch..

Big round one right? yep thats it.

It's about $25 at autozone or discount.

EDIT: When you pull it out, ALL the fluid will come GUSHING OUT, so make sure you drain it first or have a big pan to catch it all..

That switch may be cracked from someone who changed the tranny oil and used it as the drain 'plug'. I don't recommend it simply because loosening it from the outside of the tranny usually breaks it. (Of course, yours is already broken). Even a Nissan one is only $30.
