Compression Check Help/Info?
I've got 160k on my motor, so I figured I should do a compression check, i manged to come upon a compression tester for the evening but I am not quite sure how this will work. So far my basic knowledge is you take out the coil pack and the plug, put this thing in there and start it up? read the number and thats it, does anyone have actual instructions or anything about how to check your compression, is that the right method? Also what should the numbers read? I know each cylinder should be close to the rest but how close? Thanks in advance

i took an engine class back at school, and your definetly right the compression figures should be close so you know the engine is balanced i mean so you dont have like one cylinder with a bad ring or clogged with sludge preventing oil to the cylinder walls
