How are my shifts? (Video)
Tell me what you think! Found a better road for a little more speed, got up to fourth gear
-I edited the clip, now the music is softer so you can hear the engine more:

I mean... it's fast shifting, kinda....
Glad you're enjoying the max (goodthing you have the passport)....
It reminds me of what a stock drivetrain max is like.... first gear used to take forever!

Are you kidding? First is pretty short, even with stock engine and 245s I have plenty of trouble keeping traction in first in the rain.
Shifts are pretty decent. You could be shifting significantly faster though.
I've found that if I shift sort of fast from 2nd-3rd I actually grind, whereas if I slap it in as fast as I can I don't..

You might want to watch out for your throttle/clutch engagement on your first to second gear shifts. The rpms seemed to get "caught" in the transition from one to two, so you added gas early on that one. Just something to think about. Definately check the link for those driving vids I posted in Wielkiwak's (sp?) thread earlier.
It would be easier to tell if they was no sound other than the engine, but I caught the tach. Actually, that was a 2nd to third shift.

Your shifting seems fine to me, I'm more worried about the way you grab the steering wheel on the inside with your left hand. That's a
, if for some reason the wheel kicks back, you can break your wrist...

Nah, not yet, I am still driving on it. It is fine with regular driving.

orly? why do you think i said 6000 shift, you gonna tell me something that i don't know?
look how long it takes to go from 6000 to 6500, WAY TO LONG so lets race you shift at 6500 and i will at 6000, i bet i would win...

you might want to read up a little more on the subject before posting things like that. Try going to the all-motor forum, optimal shift points are calculated. IIRC, 4th-5th is at about 5800rpm. Try looking up "powerband"...
Not fast enough
I have an ACT stage 1 as well as a STS so it's pretty rare for me to see another N/A clip through the gears the same way (Bijan comes to mind..)
I actually have a friend with stock shifter and stock (not 5th gen) clutch that gets through shifts just as fast as I do so there is room for improvement.
Car seems like it pulls really well though.
