I found a '99 SE with 82k miles. Sunroof, no leather, 5 spd Bose for $6950.

 

uhhh i would tryt and strike 6,700 with him so u can start modding right away, assuming the car is in good condition

 

I would aim for 6500 it only worth 6600 in good condition.

 

ok well it is in excellent condition no leather and he said it doesn't have keyless. I wonder if the remotes are just missing. I am doing a $500 carry over in negative equity plus ttl so i might be out the door for $7000.

 

$7k for a max with no leather and no keyless. . .sorry.

 

You should be able to find one at that price or less with leather and keyless.

 

I am in San Antonio and the price of cars here has gone ridiculous. I have looked at other Max's that were GXE hubcaps, no bose, no leather, no sunroof and 120K miles and they are going for 8250.00

 

wow thats ridiculous. 120K miles for 8250?????????mine had 125K when i bought it got it for 5500, PERFECT CONDITION.

Is this car from a dealer or private sale. If it is from a dealer get a Free Carfax, and have them fix the Keyless problem. If it is a private sale I would still get the Carfax, but definately talk them down to a more reasonable price. Good Luck!!!

 

Wel I can but I finance cars for a living. I have learned that those values don't mean anything. Look up NADA for this car. It says close to 9K is the value. Your rude smart *** comments are not needed.

I thought that all se's had leather. Maybe it's an ES? Se sport suspension, bose sunroof, but no leather. only came around in 99 i think.

Not all SE's come with leather, its an option. It's the GLE that comes with leather stock. My friend has a SE maxima and he has cloth, no sunroof... nothing. Just the base SE model. All the SE has stock is the spoiler, fogs, and rims, + some misc stuff.

 

how can i tell if it has keyless? there is a security light on the dash

 

pop the hood and look on the driver side near the top of the headlight and there should be a black rubber thing sticking out I think its a sensor.If it dont have one then no keyless entry.

Being 5spd and lower miles is something that is hard to find. There is a complete black leather swap in the classifieds if you really need it.

 

YES, and thanks for the the stupid remark. In Canada, there was a 99 ES that came out. SE suspension, sunroof, NO LEATHER. NEXT TIME, maybe do a little research before you post. I wasn't sure if the es came in the states also but judging by your comment, and you seem to know it all, I guess it was a canadian thing.

One way to check would be to get in the car, lock the doors and insert the key fully and remove 6 times within 10 seconds. If the emergency flashers blip twice, it is ready to program a remote.

No, I didn;t get it. The carpet was stained although floormats which it didnt have could have covered it up. The stereo was missing the ****. The a/c control panel was missing the button for the face vents setting. It had slight damage. Needed a new bumper cover, headlight, sidemarker, and some minor owrk on the hood. All in all very minor. However when I pointed this all out tot the dealer he got mad. Accused me of wrecking it. Even though there was obvious crappy bondo work on the bumper. Then he said that I expected perfection. The backseat was stained really badly. He said it was going to be detailed. Oh yeah, the sunroof didn't close right. Had to tilt it up to seal. He didn't want to budge on his price. I jumped in my car burned out in the gravel and flung rocks at him and cars. *******.

Yeah its a shame, cause the thing ran like a scalded ape. Mechanically it was excellent; if he dropped the price to like 5K i would jump on it. The thing that really worries me is that sunroof. Lemme know if you know of any deals on a 4th gen or newer Max in the San Antonio area.

 

you know what was a good deal though? 240 $ for a passport 8500 x50 blue LED.
