keep having immobilizer problems....

my immobilizer keeps getting fried due to bad grounds and other random ****. i just had it replaced again and was talking to one of my friends about putting a jumper wire in to bypass the immobilizer. does any1 know if that is possible or do i have to keep trying to track down whatever is frying it. i am tired of being randomly stranded places. let me know if anyone knows anything about it

first of all when you say immobilizer what do you mean and waht year car do you have are you talking about a chip key with the little resistor insode it that sends out a ohm value so no one else can steal the car. i never heard of one being fried but double check anything under the dash that you installed or was previously installed likea remote staretr especially car alarm bare wires of any kind. it shouldnt keep frying make sure all fuses are exactly the corredt value and if all else fails suck it up and go to the dealership to have the problem taken care of for good.
