maxi is rackin up the miles !!!!

tonight on our way back home from work we hit the half way mark: 50,000 miles !! one 5 and 4 zeroes rolled up on me. i remember the days it had 22k on it. man it feels like yesterday. I've put 28k on it in almost 3 years !!!! i feel like i drive too much. this weekend hopefully i gotta take care of her a bit. oil change, bottle of fuel system cleaner, clean intake filter, clean TB. rotate and balance tires wash +wax and that should do it (if the boss gives me the day off ) but she is still gettin older and older

Your maxima is a youngin compared to us 95'ers. 28k miles in 3 yrs is not bad at all. If you want to keep her mileage low, get a daily beater. On the other hand, my max is a daily beater and I'm looking for a new car now.

I'm thinking along the lines of 6.1-liter SRT HEMI SMPI V8, 425 horsepower, 420 lb-ft of torque, Dodge Charger SRT8!

I might wait til next year when the Challenger comes out.

I havent had a car with less than 100k miles on it. So to own my 95 with 72k on it now, feels like a brand new car. Of course the 95 is my 2nd car Ive owned

You treat your car well so I wouldn't really worry about the miles man, it is meant to be driven and shown off. I have a 99, same color and i just rolled over the 106,000 so don't feel bad. You wouldn't enjoy it if you weren't driving it.

Be careful what you wish for, lol! 50K on a 98 is low mileage.

For those keeping track, I now have 63,151 mostly highway miles on my 95SE, 5-speed, and still have the original spark plugs in it and it runs like a champ.

Yea... 50k miles is nothing on your 98. Keep up the good work! So on your day off, you will take some pictures of the drop?

its my only car so im forced to drive it even tho im tired and bored with it. and trust me, nobody pays attention, on average i get 1 complement from strangers per season....... lol........ but a lot of co workers and friends complement. besides, cars look 10x worse in person than in pics.

black maxima - yes hopefully pic this sunday....

50k is really nothing yes but its just that i drive this bish too much.

i am still lookin for a cheap DD in the mean time.

Daaaang!!! Wish my 95 has those miles. Did you buy your car used? Or was this car garaged for a very long time??

I bought it brand new and took delivery on October 1, 1994. I lived downtown for 18 months and walked to work. Since I moved back out to the suburbs, the car hasn't been used for commuting in over 4-1/2 years and is not driven daily. Mileage is predominately highway. I still have the original front brake pads and only replaced the rears last April because the right rear caliper seized from lack of using the parking brake, lol!

As I said the spark plugs are original as are all hoses and belts.

you think? I wasnt saying my VQ35 has that many miles. My chassis does. My VQ30 had 205,000 on it when i pulled it out. The VQ35 at the time the pic was taken had 22,000 miles on it.

Real cool! I wonder how mine rides compared to yours. I get some squeeks here and there when I hit bumps. The chasis isn't exactly quiet as if it were fairly new. I've replaced a lot of worn parts in this car. My next major one is suspension bushings and lca.

MY god that's low, low, low mileage. i got 106k on my 95 and sweety that's low to me. Geeeze louise I wish I had only 50k on my max then maybe i wouldn't have tranny problems, brake issues, a suspension that's NYC shot and squeeling belts that i have to tighten every 6k! I thank the guys with 200k plus because they let me know there's still hope.

i cant believe you guys who complain about having less than 100k miles, let alone 50k. its still brand new, barely rolled off the factory line, you act like it has 200k. geez. this is a car, it was built with the intention to be driven, not sit in your garage and collect dust while you weep over how old it is getting. and on top of that, all the money some of you people throw into it while it sits and does nothing because you want it to be "mint", haha. i wouldnt even treat a porsche like that, its a driving machine and meant to be driven, and driven hard, thats why its called a sports car. and btw, there is a big differnce between driving a car hard and beating on it...

Yeah, I got mine August '05, with 150k on it, it's now at 161k. That's at a good 15k+/year, I'm probably going to put at least 20-25k/year on it. I plan on driving this car until it falls apart, I love it. In the meanwhile I'll probably get a 2dr RWD coupe of some sort, but I think the max will be my daily driver for a long long time.
