Rack and Pinion
I've done some searches but I cannot find much info on changing out the rack on our cars.
Here's what I know
97-99 SE racks had a better feel than the 95-96 racks. But are they interchangable?
Has anyone actually changed one without taking it to a shop? Are there any writeups on this?
Looking under the car it doesn't look like to bad of a job. I just put my Y pipe on last year so that shouldn't be a problem. The only thing that has me scared is if the crossmember has to be messed with. The frame of the car where the front of the crossmember attaches to actually has a hole rusted through on it. (Only rust on the whole car)
