If you hear a clunking sound when you’re fully turning the wheel then going the opposite direction you need to change the Strut bearing.

yes clunking.. sometimes it seems as if i feel the car shift a little..

when i look under the hood and the top of the strut mount.. the end of the strut isn't centered in the mount.. its like pointed more inward..

so since i should have changed all this the first time around.. im just gonna get it all done now.

Having similar problems

I have KYB shocks, Eibach lowering springs, and 235/45 - 17 tires and the ride on my car is really rough. I feel and especially hear every bump on the road. It sounds like my car is cracking when I go over a rough part of the road. Is this normal?

Is there a general list of parts to replace when upgrading your shocks and springs? I've got around 150k miles on the Maxima and plan on getting the replacements done fairly soon and would like to avoid the kinds of problems ShRapNer had.

+1, actually, it almost sounds like metal on metal scraping for me. Ball joints?
