Rubber for the road!
Hey guys, as we know its about time for the studs to come off and the sticky tires to go on for us in the north. I was browsing and came accross these
http://www.edgeracing.com/tire/2115/
I was wondering if any of us on here have any type of experiance with these.
Let me know rants and raves about them.
Thanks- Colin (Valance)

I haven't even heard of these before, I'm very sheltered. I found this site which might help you shop for some new tread.http://www.1010tires.com/tirereviews.asp

Studs are commonly used by people in the north i wouldnt expect to many people in texas to have them. they are little metal spikes that are mounted into the tire for traction on snow and ice. very handy in the winter, but not for summer driving.

thats the idea they are a cheap site. I have a friend that works for cooper and thats the price he gets them for. he say normaly there around $130 a tire.
my brother has those on his ::cough cough:: ford taurus SHO and they seem to grip the road really well. not much road noise either. if the price is right, i would definitley consider purchasing them. I actually considered buying these tires myself for my max this summer... we'll see though.

Shipped to my door step is 340 some odd dollars which isnt bad considering i live preatty much in the boonies.
They're not necesssarily performance tires, but more or less all around tires, but I got the Yokohama Avid V4S's last time around, and they are much better than the Goodyear Eagle RSA's that come stock on the 97's. Iv'e only had them for a year, but they are quieter, grippier, and cheaper than the GY's. 100 each, as opposed to 150 for the GY's. Time will tell if they last longer.
