I have a 98 GXE and my car isn't pre-wired for fogs. I just purchased some. If I wanted to put them to my own toggle switch, what is the best way to wire them.

 

Why do you think it isn't pre-wired?*All 4th gens are, regardless of trim.

read the description. 1997-1999 maximas are pre-wired EXCEPT SE and GXE A/T models without factory ABS, VSS, and a driver's power seat.

Hence I am not pre-wired. Any suggestions anyone.

 

Have you thought to check just in case? If you're really not, then just wire up a regular switch in the cabin with a relay to get power from the battery.

 

I did check....i was hoping, but nothing. I went to a junk yard and bought two harnesses to plug into the fogs. they're just two wires, positive and negative. but i want to make sure I do it right the first time so i'm looking for some insight. Also, do i have to take off the bumper to install the bracket?
