Sadly , I have traded in the Maxima

Well, I finally decided to trade the 96 Maxima GLE for an 06 Infiniti G35 (Diamond Graphite w/ sport tuned suspension package,18 inch wheels and VLSD)

The Maxima was a great car, but I couldn't resist the RWD G35. Even though it had 180,000 miles it still ran with a lot of power. Here is my old car domain website for the maxima. Please pay your final respects.

Congrats on the new car. I had a chance to drive it side-by-side with the A4 3.2 Q and 330i SP last fall, and that drive did cause me to get a new car too. But I kept my 98 SE because it wasn't worth anything in trade, yet it's driving very nicely at 120k. I just put my 2nd set of front pads in with the original rotors, and it stops like a champ. My Max is now like a taxicab--I give it what it needs to keep rolling. Some 2 yr. old girl put a nasty ding in the rear right door a couple months ago, thank GOODNESS I was driving the Max that day.....cheers!

Sad to see another one go, but it is worth it. I hope you got the 6-speed.

Well, older 4th gens are 10 years old now.

Newer cars have such better/stronger framework these days. So when they get to be 10 years old, they will still feel relatively solid.

I just drive a friend's Lexus GS400 last night. Its a 2000 model. Six years old and feels superb. No rattles, super smooth torquey V8 power. He has it lowered on Eibach springs and has some sort of 19" wheels -- 275's in the rear -- and it still rode very nice with not a lot of road noise. It has a 5-speed Auto. Still with automatic, its plenty fast and responsive.
