Hi all,

Last night I was about to head out when I got to the end of the driveway only to find out the car wouldn't come out of reverse. My dad came out with me (I don't really have much experience with the inner-workings of a manual transmission or the shifter) It will continue to back up just fine but I can't get it out of reverse. Any ideas? Any tricks to getting it out? Tried to play with it under the car as well as rocking the car back and forth. Any advice is appreciated, I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do.

With the car off, are you able to take it out of gear?

 

Nope, that doesn't make a difference, still stuck

 

shift w/o the clutch, in reverse when your rolling back just give a good tap on the gas and push out the shifter from rev

 

any updates?
