lowering spring question

i was wondering if i could buy some tein s-tech lowering springs for my max, but not buy custom shocks. would it be bad for my suspension if i did this? would it cause my stock shocks to blow out or somethin? i need a drop BAD but dont have funds.

i have the s-techs, and using them with the stock se struts, are a bad ride, and it bottoms out a lot. it will shorten the life of the strut quickly and you will wish you had your stock springs. I have the GR-2's which handle it better but still bottom out in the rear when i have 2 people back there. if you want i will sell you my tein's s-techs and gr-2's as a whole set for 150. i can also drop them off in st.george if you wanted to meet me there, im heading down that way soon.

it will be a bouncy ride and you will blow your stock struts pretty quickly, keep saving $ until you can afford to do both at once

Yes, bad idea. And if you get the S-Techs dont even bother with the GR-2s, they suck (for lowering springs). At least get AGX or if possible Illumina.

You have been on since Nov 2005 I know you have seen "do it once, do it right" a million times. It actually is true.
