i have a 95 SE, i was wondering if anyone has changed the bulbs to red, how does that look, and can you replace just the needle for a colored needle look, and how does that look too?? i tried searching, and came up with nothing. thanks for the help

 

Just use a sharpie on your needles to paint them...that works better then changing out the needles...

 

I can't imagine that red lights in the gauge cluster would give off enough visible light to light up the gauges sufficiently, but I suppose it's possible (as long as the lights aren't too red).
Also, like 1Phat Max said, just use a Sharpie permanent marker (or any permanent marker for that matter) on the needles. Blue and Orange/Red seem to look the best.

I colored my needles blue (with a Sharpie marker). It looks great against the white gauge faces. However, the blue doesn't work quite as well as red/orange would at night. If I could do it again, I would do it in red instead. However, I can assure you that it does look good.
I don't have any pictures, but I could get some for you by next Monday. Otherwise, I think Import Intelligence has some pictures of their white-faced gauges with colored needles.

Ijust switched out the bulbs in the guages and the shifter with red #194's. I painted the ones in the A/C controls with "clear red" paint from a hobby shop. I unsoldered the green LED's in the door switches and put in red ones.

 

is it possible to change the colors of the lights in the climate control a/c's?
