How many quarts in tranny?

a friend of mine had a dealer account with amsoil, and I'm thinking about picking up some MTG full synthetic GL-4 transmission oil...but what I need to know is: How many quarts do I need for the tranny? I have a '96, thanks.

holy moly! My truck only ever took a hair over 2. Alright, good thing I'm getting a sweet discount. 4.5 seems like alot, but I'll go with it.

What truck is that? All the trucks I've worked on took at least 3.5 qts for the trans alone, not counting differential(s), transfer case.

But yep, about what MDeezy said.

truck was a '93 D21 Hardbody. I'll only ever drive a Nissan. I used redline MT90 in it, and it took just over 2 quarts. Figured I'd replace the tranny fluid since I was already doing the clutch.
