Greddy SP2 fitment

Greddy SP2 fitment
I was speaking to a sales rep at autoaccessories.com to buy a Greddy SP2 for my 98 Maxima GXE. He said Greddy only carries the SP2 for the 97-99 SE trim and that it would need custom welding to fit it onto a non-SE. Just wanna get everyone's opinion on this issue. Is it true? how much fitment does it take?
The sales rep also said that I could use the 95-96 SP2 and fit it onto a 98. That model is $40 cheaper and the only difference is that it'll stick out a lil more than the 97-99 one. Can anyone confirm that?
Thanks,

No 97-99 is longer by a couple inches. As far as I know all 4th gens and 1st gen I30s can use the greddy, just stick with your model year. I have the 95-96 Greddy on my 96 I30t and it fits perfect. The O2 sensor bung is on the b-pipe so 95-96 have to plug it, 97 on do not. Use hose clamps to adjust rubber hangers so it will fit the way you want it. The hose clamp goes around the rubber hanger so you can tighten it and adjust up and down. The maxima uses the same exhaust as the I30, they only test fit on SEs, that why some places say only SE will fit.
