Repaint or not?

I am repainting my grill with that krylon fusion stuff. Should I leave the burger chrome or paint it black as well? Opinions welcome. Also feel free to post any relevant pics. Thanks

Miguel

I would give it a shot. I had thought about doing that to all of my emblems (making them darker), but never got around to it. My sister has a 2k Maxima SE and all the badging is smoked black, looks nice. She has a dark grey car.

I painted the hamburger on my grill a few months ago but I went back to the chrome. It looked neat for awhile until I started to think something was missing. Took off the paint with Goof-Off.

keep it chrome. the only reason i painted mine all black was to hide the fugly gold finish. but look at the sig for a preview

i painted mine black, on my black 96 grill. It is is good contrast against my white paint. I like it, and i think yours black would look good as long as the finish and color match your car

wouldn't suggest painting it urself. tried to 1 to many times, always chiped b.c of debris and rocks and stuff. i would suggest get it professionally done like i did. it only cost me $40 including clear coat

I used toyota/lexus black touchup with clearcoat (burger only) and like it.

I always have a spare burger from the trunk so it wasn't a big decision for me.

Looks pretty nice on J Sutters car... but if you keep it chrome it will stand out... depends on how you want to reveal your car

Looks good on Jon's car, and $40 professionally painted is not bad at all.

I admire the time it took to do that, but at a quick glance it looks like someone stole the emblem IMO. And you know what what they say about opinions . "Opinions are like ***holes, everybody's got one."

you can buff the gold off and it will become a regular chrome one.
