I30 interior --> Max interior???

So heres a question, if i had both cars, would it be possible to put the interior of a 98 I30 into a 99 Maxima?

If anything would need changing, what would that be (door panels??)

From what i've read, it seems all of the seats bolt right in. I'm not so sure about the door panels. As long as the speakers and brackets are in the same place they should bolt right on.

Should be a direct placement. Alot of people upgrade to the I30 seats...esp the rears.

The dashboards are different...and therefore the radio section...but other than that everything (judging by pictures of both interiors) would swap over.

How do you figure? The I30's I've looked at have a upward facing console (stereo - where the Maxima clock is). It's straight up...ours is slanted.

you are blind then.

everything is a direct bolt in but there are some pieces that you will need. you will need the gauge cluster trim from a i30. i have a complete i30 interior in my max and have had it for a while now.

thats not the dashboard...those are different pieces. the AC control, clock, and radios differ when it comes to the models and years of the maxima/i30.

Are you fricken blind? There is no way on earth that the dashboards are identical. You would need to swap the bezel like already stated and get a new vent/clock assembly. lol...he says dashboards aren't different. Dude...go to your nearest wal-mart and visit their eye glasses department.

I'm wishing it is but I'm guessing it's unlikely.. Is it possible to swap the interior from a 2000 I30 into a 1997 Max?

Judging from the pictures I'm looking at...I would say the front seats would work...and maybe the steering wheel. Other than that...I don't think it's doable. Just get a 99 I30 interior instead.

Yea I knew it was a long shot. I've been looking for black 99 I30 seats or leather Max seats (both rows) for a few weeks now with no luck. But, I guess I'll keep looking.

Try www.car-parts.com buddy. They might have something. I know they sell complete interiors...might be harder to just find the seats but hey...give it a shot...it's a good site. Best of luck finding what you are looking for.

Even the 5th gen? I believe the 5th gen back seat is different than the 4th gen. Atleast the top part anyway.

the rear from a 5th gen wont work in a 4th gen but i am currently putting 5.5 gen front seats in my 4th gen and will let everybody know what needs to be made to make it work.

All interior parts from a 1st gen I30 will fit any 4th gen maxima interior. You can swap almost any part on an I30 to a maxima, VLSD trans, whole interior, doors, auto dim mirror, etc. Any part can fit there is a maxima with an I30 front fenders and bumper. The rear end is really the only part that is not bolt on so swapping w/o cutting and re-welding is impossible.

Finding preforated 98-99 I30 seats is not an easy task, 96-97 are alot easier to find. I have been looking around for some and can't find any.
