Its been a while ! Post up your engine bay photos !

Well I havent seen an engine bay photo thread in ages. With all the new members and guys doing all kinds of different intake manifold swaps, engine swaps, and just plain old vq30de engine photos from stock or with mods, we should post up a bunch. Would love to have a look at everyones !

I dont have much but will start up with mine. and disregard that arrow and airflow thing, just some redneck theory we were talking about in another post. basically i still have the stock vq30de with usim. Have slowly cleaned out the engine bay from removing the stock airbox, going with a smaller battery to a/c delete.

So yeah, post up your engine bay shot and say a few words if you have the time. Maybe after a few hundred post we can pick out some setups and give awards like.

- best engine bay
- worst engine bay
- dirtyest engine bay
- most unique
- bling bling award

ha !

Mine

Sparkplug cover is all black now, Filter zip-ties are out of view now, K&N is actually pink again, all caps and random pieces are black, been the same for awhile.

its some K&N xtreme flow filter, a bit odd. this photo shows the other side, and please no comments on the air flow crap, just some redneck stuff.

Which vortech power cooler model is that? I know they don't make one specifically for the VQ30. I'm thinking of doing the same to keep the boost temps down. FMIC is too flashy for me, especially in california.

I don't remember the specific part # but it is for a mustang. I also had the unit rebuilt with mustang internals.

Here's mine. It's still work in progress. Intake is stock with a drop-in K&N panel filter, plus a heater hose that acts as a CAI pipe (not shown in pic).

True, but I have a carbon fiber hammer laying in my engine bay somewhere, you had a regular wooden one. .

I'm doing the complete wood conversion. Wooden trunk, Wooden hood, and wooden stillen lip. I think it'll offset my woodgrain nicely. That's the ONLY reason I had a wooden hammer lying around, to match the car.

Awesome, I know a 1996 Log Cabin, that's parting out, maybe you can take the wood hood off of it to complete the look. . LOL.

Really? I felt like it lacked bling bling appeal, I was gonna polish the piping also but that's changing since i'm intercooling it...
