The b pipe will always hang that low, but the muffler sticking out shouldn't be like that. Well maybe the 97-99 fit a little different but I know mine is flush with my bumper.

I had to have mine adjusted after the install to get it all straight. Yours looks like mine before the adjustment.

you can use hose clamps on the hangers to lift the tip up.

my bpipe hangs low, but not that low. the guy at the exhaust shop did something at the cat. not exactly sure, but he fiddled around and got it to sit higher.

Steve from Sport Compact Only, will give you a 5% ORG discount code. We'll even match the group deal price that is going on right now.

I bought mine from him. Great service.

The b-pipe on my SP2 hangs roughly that low. I've had it on the car for 2+ years, all of which I have been lowered (first on Maxspeeds, now on H-Techs) and I have yet to scrape the b-pipe. Of course, I'm far from being slammed, only lowered 1.3-1.5" or so.

the sp2 has almost the most hideous tip I've ever seen. WHy is it rolled to the outside and not the inside.

i also am in the same boat. i was detailing my car friday night and noticed that my muffler is rusted through the first ply of sheet metal on one side. this is awesome for me because now i have a legitimate excuse to get an exhaust. my car is stock but i'm not looking to "rice" it out. i dont even want a loud exhaust or a "coffee can" sized tip. my brother's friend has a 99 civic si and got an apexi exhaust and it's not loud but it compliments the engine. the only cat-back i've seen for my car is the greddy sp2. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I hope I don't have any problems with my 98...

Is there anything that I need to do to the pipe to fit a 96 on a 98?

One thing I noticed on the 95-96 SP2 is it has an extra O2 hole right after the cat. It did not make any sense at all. It was like it was made for the 95-96, but they added the extra O2 that the 97-99s have?

My 95-96 SP2 sits flush to my 96 bumper.

The extra bung hole was a production mistake on Greddy's part I believe. Fill it with a proper sized bolt and ur golden. And yes, the 95-96 SP2 system should fit very well on a 97-99. You can see from the tailpipe shadow in my above picture.

so what are the chances that all 95/96s have the o2 sensor?
Because I was just talking to one guy selling his 95/96 and he doesn't have that sensor hole...

95/96 models don't have the extra O2. Like Maximabebe said Greddy must have goofed. Just find a proper size bolt to fill the hole. Exhaust shop should have the proper size.

I have the 97-99 SP2 on my 97SE, B-pipe hangs higher than your pic and the tip sits out maybe 1/2" from the cutout.
