I found the directions on how to do it I'm just wondering if clearing the tails is very difficult. I'm very mechanicaly inclined and I really don't want to spend $120 for a set. If anyone has done this yourself, your help wuld be great. Thanx.

i did mine last week and i really did not think it was that hard. there are plenty of sites to look at for instructions. go to the thread on the next page titled red and clear taillights, there are a bunch of links there. the only part that gave me trouble was cutting a piece of plastic to replace the amber piece i took out, and getting it to stay in place. try heating a knife blade to cut through the plastic, and a glue gun to glue the plastic into place.

good luck!

Im sure you've been asked this a bunch, but how'd you tint the white in your taillights?

its easy

all i did is use pinstriping (can get at autozone) that normally goes on the sides of cars and put it on the amber and white covers with very little gap, it still allows light out but looks black...that picture is during at like high noon with a lot of light on it, otherwise it usually looks complelty black, if u have any questions just email me...

last words of warning before you start: Don't force it at all... if it won't come out with ease then you're not hot enough, heat more...
