ive had mine on for a month with white bulbs and no one cares here in montgomery county, md. i only mention the location because police around here are hardcore
when you say your corner lights look dim, i think thats how they are supposed to be until you put your turn signal on, then they go to full brightness to light up the area you are supposedly about to enter a little better. lots of people do the corner light mod which makes it max brightness constantly, but id imagine eliminates the entire "light up while turning" effect.

i did the oven clear out modd to make mine orange to clear. the right way!!!
what you will need: oven, screw driver, 1 pair oem bumper lights, 1 pair diamond clears from ebay. silicone.
step 1. bake both of them in the oven for 15 minutes at 200 degrees.
step 2. take a screw driver and pry apart both pairs
step 3. swap the clear with the orange.
step 4. silicone to keep water out.
done

Dam i can't just buy the lights with the amber bulbs already installed? What a pain. Nissan deserves a slap on the wrist for making them look so ugly STOCK! and,...yeah, my corner light's have a yellow tint but my headlights are WHITE! It totally clashes.
