Headlights dim

Everytime i hit the brakes the headlights dim for about a half a second then right back to where it was before i hit the brakes.

Anybody know how to fix this?

I have a brand new battery. It did the same thing with the old battery.

I heard it was a bad voltage regulator, and i need to replace the altenator. Is this true or is it BS.

Maybe try a grounding kit and see if that helps.
