Got bored, did a little mod. 56k GO HOME.

Hey, I was bored, so i went to the junkyard, got a cig lighter from some old chevy, and wired it up as a second cig lighter in my glove box. At first I had a volkswagen one that had an LED in it, but it was too long, and the glove box didn't close properly. I just tapped into the existing cig lighter wires. Both cig lighters work, and I can charge my phone while playing my ps2.

I didn't want to hard wire the ps2, because a cig lighter brings more function.

Nice. How much did you pay for your 350z manifolds? And where?

it's a Nesa 7" screen, i got it off an .org member. It's just like the microvision screen, except it has 2 video inputs, and has buttons on the top. i didnt want the flip out screens because they usually block something, and i don't want an empty space in my dash. The screen didn't fit by itself, so I made some brackets to hold it in place. Took me about 5 mins with a bit of tin and a drill.

I was going to add some on the side of my center console, there is an extra harness taped to the lighter wires. Looks good, glad to hear it didn't blow the fuse.

Those splitters are an eye sore. I like his mod alot better than using an effing ugly splitter.

Do you have a 5spd? I have a 5spd and I have these wires also, taped to the lighter harness. That is the factory wire for the light to the automatic shifter gear indicator. I know this because I used it as a point to tap my guage light control wires to, on my pillar. One of them is constant, and the other is dim-able ground.

Good job on the wiring.. just like Tim, I was going to wire a second one to the side on my center console, but I definately think yer onto something here! This way keeps it neat and clean, and no eyesores. And those multi-taps for lighters are DEFINATELY eyesores!

BTW, Tim.. sorry to hear about yer ride man.. that BL0WS!! Hopefully it will be recovered in good repair..

Good job. I would have never thought to have two ciglighters. In the glove box is a great secondary location.
