problems w/ umnitza... need help identifying bulbs

firstly, i'd like to share my problems with umnitza. i ordered two HID kits from matt, and when the first shipment came in, i found he didnt send me the adapters that go from the harness to the ballast. fine i thought, i talked to them again, saying several times i needed two sets, but when i got the package, guess what. one set.

i decided to test fit all the pieces... and i find that the "9004" bulbs he sent me dont fit! i sent him pictures and he's told me that these are 9004... and they obviously are not because the slot pattern is different. i think they are 9007, but i don't know for sure. can someone identify whether the slot pattern on the HID is 9007 or what it is? the hid is on the right. the bulb on the left is a regular incandescent

matt has been helpful when things go wrong, but things should not go wrong this often.

on 9007's, the filaments are still parrallel to each other but, they're also parralel with the long part of the glass... . i know theres a better way of explaing this.

9004 = parallel filaments, running side to side (with respect to the car, when installed)
9007 = parallel filaments, running front to back (with respect to the car, when installed)

read my description above, and take a look at the filaments to see which one it is.

THEY ARE HID BULBS. THEY DO NOT HAVE FILAMENTS. Ever wonder why they're called "Xenon?" They aren't incandescent, they ignite little capsules of gas.

BTW I think you mean transverse and axlially aligned filaments, not parallel and parallel.

sorry, didn't catch the fact that they were HID's. And when i said parallel, I was referring to the position of the filaments when compared to each other.

Coming from a man who just went out, pulled his 9007 and looked at it, yes, it is the nub pattern of a 9007 bulb.

BlackMaxdout, I see what you're saying, although I'm not sure if there are any bulbs with perpendicular or otherwise nonparallel high and low filaments?
