Guess I was wrong...
I was driving home yesterday and when I came to a red light a hooked up 5th generation Maxima was sitting next to me. We drove together for a couple of miles just screwing around, not racing but just toying with each other. We were cruising around 40, I was about a car length behind him and I saw him gun it so I did the same. I was at about 3.5K RPM so optimally I should have downshifted but I was just screwing around. My point is that although we were both flooring it, he wasnt pulling at all on me and eventually I even passed him but quickly slowed down when I realized how fast we were going. Im not sure if he was driving an automatic or not but arent these cars supposed to have about 50 extra hp than us?

Pardon my ignorance, what exactly is a "hooked up" car?
