I'm having my car tinted on may, 8th and i was thinking about a 20% tint. I have a black 96 and was wondering if anyone had pics of their tints or any suggestions. thanx.

I have an altima with 35% all around and a 98 black Maxima with 20% all around. 20% looks great and makes a difference when driving at dusk or dawn with the sun beside you. And you can pick your boogers in traffic and no one will ever know.

Ask the tint people if they have heard of any problems with cops for having too dark of tint. If it is common to get pulled over for it, just get the legal limit. If you get darker than legal and a cop makes you remove your tint, some shops will give you a discount if you bring it back to them to get re-tinted. Ask ahead of time. Tell the cop "I bought the car this way and didn't know that it was too dark". It might help.

What ever darkness you decide on, use it on the front and back windows. Don't tint the front and back windows different shades. I did that to my last truck and regret it.

That is just my opinion.

 

I prefer 35% its not that dark but I dont like driving like that at night. But 20% looks really nice and some people arent bothered by it.

What color is the interior of your ride? I have tan int and got a tint that looks dark/black from the outside but has a brown shade from inside. Looks really cool, almost like brown shaded sunglasses. I got 27% all the way around. Looks a lot better even throughout. If you have grey interior there is a type of film that looks dark/black ext but grey from the inside. Costs a lil bit more but is cool as hell! I have been rolling for years w/illegal tint (13 yrs) and only got pulled over once. Keep it even. I will snap a pic in the morning and send it to ya then, too dark now to get a good idea. If you don't have a factory eyebrow I would recommend getting one.

i have a 95 beige max and i put 20% all around cept windshield (illegal in Nebraska). I LOVE IT. 20% will cost a little more, mine would of been 240 but i have friends in high places and got it 4 160 plus a free 20% banner. so if you have some money get the 20%, you wont be disappointed

 

youll be wasting money if you get your car tinted 35%...get 20 or lower.

 

5%... any lighter of a tint isn't a real tint.

i got 35% and I'm happy with my look, i think the 35 looks classy and not ghetto dark
