Headlight question.

Ok guys, so here's the deal.....I really don't know much about Nissan or my Maxima yet, but im sure this isn't supposed to happen. When i turn my headlights on, the light on the guage cluster saying the brights are on is on....whether they are on bright or not, the light in the guage cluster is always on.....what's the deal here?

have you recently added a headlight harness? if so it's wired for 9007 instead of 9004 bulbs.

Ok another question i have....i didn't wanna ***** up the board by making a whole new thread so here goes. When i turn, there is popping coming from the front end....i'm sure it's the CV joints, but my question is will it hurt anything if this is happening? what are the consequences of this going on for so long? i will replace them, but i'm kinda tight on money right now and need to know if it's dangerous or w/e

thanks

the joint could seize or cause the driveshaft to pop out. I drove on mine for several months until it got noticably worse. By the time I changed it I had to change my wheel bearing too because it also crapped out on me. personally, I suggest you fix it as it costs around 100.00 to have it rebuilt at a shop. small investment for a vital component. The only reason I waited on mine is because it was not my daily driver so I only drove it maybe once every couple weeks.

Check your wiring harness, it may have a loose connection or like someone else said it could be starting to melt. Also, if I remember correctly I think this is a sign of a blown bulb, but I may be thinking of another car.
