ECU question after a conversion

Hey peeps

I got my conversion done a month or so ago and my CEL has been on ever since and the rpms have been stayin above normal for a while (1-3) secs while takin the car out of the gear and leaving it in neutral. My car is a 99, so what my question is, from what year should I get the 5 spd ECU from or it doesn't matter, some people told me that only 99 will work, however then the ignition chip question arises, since 99 have chips in hte keys < is the key chip stored inside the iginition or is it inside the ECU.

Please help me out

Thanks

you have to get 5spd ecu from maxima between 10/98 and 3/99 fed or cali spec (depends which you have).
and would be good if a dealership will install ecu for you so thay can reprogram your keys to new immobiliser (comes with ecu)

BTW. i have to do same think

So you are sure that if I get a new ECU my car will not start with the same key?
