Anyone Experience this problem

I was driving and noticed my system wasen't kickin' as hard as usual, and noticed my headlights dimming for a second. All of a sudden my steering wheel became hard to turn and all the lights on my dash under my gauges came on. I got over in the turning lane and stopped. It was like my car was in nuetral even though it was in drive. My brakes wouldnt work to keep my car from slowing moving backwards. I had to turn my car off, shift to park and try to start it back up after acouple tries then everything worked fine, have anyone had a similar problem or kno wth this problem could be? thankz

Well the lights dimming and the dash lights comming on is a sign of bad alt. The brakes still should have worked even without power..

Sounds like you got a bad Alternator on your hands.
