Water in trunk

So I get water in the trunk, but I can't seem to figure out where it is leaking from. The rubber gasket around the trunk is not wripped ... there are no rust/holes under the gasket. where else can the water be coming from?

I do have a spoiler .... how to check/replace the seal for the spoiler?

The water seems to get right into the center of the trunk ... The carpet in the center of the trunk is wet. The sides are not wet at all ... just the center

Since the water is in the center, I would assume that it's coming in around the trunk lid by the rear windshield. sometimes the foam inside the rubber gasket gets compacted. You can't see that it's messed up but if you feel around it you should be able to tell where the foam isn't full anymore. This is what happened on my old accord. You can go buy a foam insert at autozone I believe.

The thing is i don't feel like the trunk lid itself is damp anywhere, neither can i feel water feeling around the trunk gasket.

take a bucket of water and pour it around the trunk lid. then you can pinpoint where it's coming from.

This idea is best, water test it (perhaps with a buddy pouring it while you watch).

I had this problem too. Over the winter, I had one maxima sitting in the driveway through the entire season, and a few weeks ago when I got it out and opened the trunk, there was a fair amount of water in the spare tire well. Never had this happen before, maybe I'll try a water test, but it may not work I have a feeling it had something to do with the car being burried under snow for 3 months in the driveway.

I had this same problem when i bought my car.. I did not no it was leaking next thing i know I pull out the carpet and there was about a gallon of water around my spare! The only place I could find a leak was from around one of my taillights. All gaskets were fine, I would suggest the water test like they said to pinpoint the problem..
