check your stock boxes for me

i was doin my monthly fluid check and overall maintenance check. when I was closing up the stock airbox, I saw that the edges of the top box and bottom box did not sit flush to each other in the middle after clipping it in. I have a K&n filter in there. does everyone else have the same deal?

air box should be completely closed.

Are you able to clamp the 4 clamps down with that gap? Just move the filter till it sits flush then close completely.

mine doesn't sit perfectly flush, but all four clamps close perfectly and the seal is made between the filter surround and the upper housing. There is basically no gap between the bottom seal either, so one would assume that there is no vaccumm leakage or extraneous materials being taken in.

i barely got all the clamps down. I had to pinch the top/bottom box together while clamping it. i've tried moving the filter around, but doesn't make much a difference. If the box is that hard to close, i guess there couldnt be any leaks, which is the greatest of my concerns.
