O/D light is on

My O/D light comes on when I start my 1995 Se. When I turn my head lights on it goes off and goes into over drive. When I turn my head lights off it goes the indicator goes off and comes out of overdrive. The othernight I tried flashing my highbeams and the dont work. Whats up

Sounds like something is shorted. What happens when you press the O/D button? Does it turn the lights on and off?

Do your high beams work if you put it into high beam mode?

The O/D button works nomally when the headlight are on. It does nothing when the headlights are off, and I do not have any highbeams at all the headlights just go off when I try to activate th hhighbeams.

Check the wires going to the headlights for any damaged, melted wires. Also, you might want to check the actual control on the steering wheel for the headlights to see if there are any shorts.

When you get this sort of problem it is usually an earthing fault. You probably have a disconnected ground wire somewhere. I'd start by checking the harness around the steering column and the plug/socket connectors in that area.
