Please Help - 5 SPD swap!
Please Help - 5 SPD swap!
I recently did a 5 Speed Swap, and I got SES (CEL). well the automatic TCM is disconnected, and this sat I swap the ECU and installed a Manual ECU. I still getting two codes P0600, P1605. These codes indicate that, ECU is looking for the automatic tranny. I don’t why I am still getting these codes, Could it be the ECU I got its not Manual ECU? By the way my car year is 99.
Also i am having difficulty going to reverse. I have to Tab the gas couple of times in order to go in reverse. Sometimes I can go to reverse after I try 10 times. Also when I have the car in 2 or 3, or 4th gear when I press the gas, and then let go of the gas i get this kick that comes from the shifter. There is no strange noise in any gears. Only when i have the car in the reverse and backing up i hear this wired noise, that sounds like something is lose (cricking noise) i can't really explain it.
I was told this tranny had 40k on it, and pretty much in a excellent condition.
Can someone tell me what could be wrong?
Thanks In advance.
