Radiator Forms Crack

So i was driving and pulled into 7-11 for a drink and saw/smelled steam. Popped the hood and there is a small quantity of radiator fluid scattered about. After further examination it appears there is a small crack (1-2.5 inches) on the top of the radiator. My questions are, does anyone know what could have caused a sudden crack? And Since its there is it relatively easy to replace the radiator? A write up would be nice otherwise thanks in advance for the information.

That just happens with old plastic radiators. Buy an OEM replacement Koyo radiator off ebay for about $120 and then drop it in yourself, its very easy, and all very straight forward, and you dont need to jakc up the car.

Tools needed:
10mm socket or wrench
12mm socket or wrench
philips head screwdriver
coolant drain pan

-drain the coolant
-unbolt the two bolts holding in the fans (either a 12 or a 10), unplug fans and remove
-pull off the rubber radiator hoses, top and bottom
-unbolt the two brackets on the top that hold the radiator in (10mm)
-pull radiator out and drop new one in, in reverse order

Update

just a quick update for anyone else seeking information on leaks. mine like stated above is about 1-2.5 inches in length and is unoticible in width. my findings are good for someone who does not have the cash or time or whatever. a temporary fix is to spread some 10 minute epoxy or effected area. it has not leaked a drop under pressure since i did that. it is good because it is heat resistant and water proof. may i remind you that this is a temporary fix.

The AC condenser is not part of the radiator.
