MAF sensor

Is it safe to clean the MAF sensor with some kind of intake cleaner spray?

My car has an idle surge, as soon as i give it a little gas it works perfectly.
Any ideas?

No MIL.

Thanks for any input

No, it's not. The sensor is extremely delicate and even things like having a K&N filter sometimes kill them, although that's usually a 5th gen thing. Do not clean your MAF. Either it's messed up and needs replaced, or it's something else. It's not because it's dirty.
