Best headers made, just pricey...I think they arent in stock as of now. He was making them and the ETA was a few months if I remember correctly.

i was told they are custom made for each order...eta is 4-6 weeks as of now(just spoke to CE)...they are just trying to find a local shop to produce them continuously. Right now it's taking time, because he is making them by hand and has to test fit them on his own car before shipping them. As soon as he finds a shop to produce them at a faster rate they will be always available. Yes, it's a fantastic piece and I would recommend it if you are looking for some serious power upgrades. It works even better on a VQ35...so if you plan on doing a swap later on, it will flow with any plans you may have. Hope this is good enough info

I'd go with a proven brand. I know CE shows proof of gains with a dyno graph but noone has it in their car yet therefore, results are still uncertain.

I just ordered a Warpspeed Y and hi/flo cat for $285 shipped. I opted for aluminized because there's really no need for me to have a SS y-pipe as I live in California. Besides, the stock exhaust system in my car is still intact after 11 years of its life and it still looks darn good.

A question about the Hotshot headers - I'm ready for some headers, but I didn't see anything for the 95-99 Maximas from Hotshot ??? Does anyone know where to buy these headers for a 4th Gen max ??

Daymn - those look lots better than shorty headers! So what did you buy? And were there any rough spots in your installation? Maybe they were for a '00-'01 Max?

Please spill the details !!! My stock manifolds could use replacing with Hotshots... All I see on their website is headers for 2002-03 Maximas......

Youll encounter the same difficulties installing them into a 4th gen as you would if you install them in a 5th gen. This job is no easy task, unless you have extreme patience, and are willing to stay underneath the car for around 6 hours, dont try it yourself. The only things that were a problem, fitment wise, is i had to plug the egr valve and plug one of the o2 sensor bungs. I had to plug the egr valve because there was no bung for it on the headers. I had to plug the 02 sensor hole because im a cali spec with 4 o2 sensors, and one of them wouldnt reach that far. If youre installing it into a fed spec, you probably wont have that problem. You wont find hotshot headers for 4th gens because they only make them for 3.5l 5.5 gens. However, they will bolt up to the 4th gen engine the same exact way. I was unsure of this myself when i purchased it, but i took the gamble and it paid off.

About the Cattman Headers, they are scheduled for release in the middle of June. They are taking pre orders for them. I assume the first batch have already been sold. This is going to be the 3rd generation headers as they have a new design and a new manufacturer.

Good advice - I have a Fed spec, so that's OK. O2 sensors wires can be made longer. Hang on - I've got some questions, please.

The EGR valve can be made history, too. Anything show up w/CEL codes after EGR surgery? When you installed the headers, how well did they fit? In your photos, it looks like the headers and downpipes and Y-pipe all fit together and connected to the stock cat position - was this what you experienced? Is there any clearance problems underneath, where the rear downpipe loops around?

I take it you bought the 2002-03 headers as a package, or was there anything else needed? Thanks for any details you can add - I realize this is a serious piece of work.

I do have the cel on right now, but thats probably from the fact that i removed every possible cat. Im not sure if the egr throws codes, ive heard that i will not. There is no fitment issuses with these headers, they fit like gloves. Only problem youll run into is the spacing when bolting and unbolting the headers. The only extra things i had to buy was 2 manifold gaskets, 41 dollars EACH at the stealership and 2 triangular looking gaskets with 3 holes each.

Now I'm glad I bought the Ebay engine-rebuild gasket set for $99.00 !!

Where did you get the "2 triangular looking gaskets with 3 holes" ?? These must be the manifold/downpipe gasket - except there's headers now, not manifolds.... ???

The gaskets between the headers and y-pipe. The shop had they lying around. You can use oem crush rings too, but the triangular gaskets fit better and are a lot cheaper.
