I got a 97 maxima and love it. The problem is that my cd player doesn't work. It just started today. I play alot of burned cd's, do you think that's the problem? Everytime I put any cd, burned or not it gives me "cd error". Give me any suggestions on what to do. Thanx

 

This same exact thing happened to me! The cd will go in and come out, but it wont play and says cd error on it. When you turn the volume up you can here this whining noise. I played a couple burned cds but dont know if its the problem. Same thing happened to my brother on his 95 GLE, he took it to a mechanic and the guy said that the laser was off or something, I think. Were the burned cds crappy ones or name brand? My problem happened after I had played some crappy ones. I still havn't got mine fixed but will let you know when I do.
