thats crazy!! I wonder how it happened.... looks like it might have wrapped around a tree or something!..... I cant imagine anyone being able to have survived that... it seems as if all four doors ended up touching in the middle.

I see your avatar there. Is your comment a "do as I do" or "do as I say" kind of thing. I hope YOU'RE being safe.

always being safe...while i drive, i drive slow and only in my neighborhood. Like drive to a friends house or a coffe shop near by(like 1 mile away) Night time is quiet so we can't make a whole lot of noise anyway. During the day, i'm sober and working...so that's a different story. So if u ask, it's more of a "do as I say and not as I do" I guess...LOL

If I only saw the second picture, the only way I could tell it is a Maxima would be by looking at the hub cap.

Exactly, thats the only piece recognizable. 50,000 people die every year on the road. #1 killer of babies and people under 33...

This looks like a tree wrapper with some serious down force.. perhaps a pole under a bridge.

Looks to me the roof was cut off by the fire dept to possibly get the passenger and driver out. If you can look closely at the rear posts, they are cut and the roof was lifted off the car, a procedure done by firefighters

That could happen to anyone who street races. I've seen similar wreckage on the news relating to street racing. What a way to finish a maxima.

I'd guess they got t-boned by a semi truck or something, since it looks like the force is almost all applied to the driver side... the frame is bent in a U shape and the passenger side is untouched from the outside.

No way are we fast without some major power adders. Ypipe ain't one of them.

But back to that pic. That is insane. It appears the trunklid is flipped upside down?

This car had to have hit a tree, pole, something. It looks like it just about completely folded around whatever.

I disagree-- I actually think stock Maxima's are quicker than most stock cars that were out during those years-- and even the 5th gen's have more power than a lot of cars during that year of production.

When I first got my car (stock 5 speed), I raced my friend in his 96 Mustang GT (stick) and i took him out by a car and a half.

I'm sure everything will buff right out. Give me a terry cloth and a multi-tool and i can probably get that in brand new condition again in a few hours. Ok, maybe not really. If you guys want to see what a REAL bad wreck looks like, goto wreckedexotics.com and click on 'bad wrecks'.

The ones from racing are the worst ones, the car will either be unrecognizable or the car gets split in at the firewall, the passengers would all die and the front end would look fine (besides not being attatched to anything).

First off this is not something to joke about and this isnt dirested only at you. It is aimed at everyone who wants to find humor in this ecspecially the guy who made the comment about the scratch remover.

Second what the hell could be fun about looking at wrecked cars where it is obvious someone lost thier life? Ive lost friends and family in car wrecks and almost lost my life once. Do you get your jollys from this stuff?

Sorry to bash but this is why i left a local forum board because of people like this.

If it wasnt for the first picture I wouldnt even know its a Maxima. Why is the picture posted with no other information??

I hope they were ok, survival from something like that sadly seems slim.

80mph is fast enough to cause very serious damage to a vehicle. All cars can get to 80mph, so it doesnt matter wheathere is stock or not.

Not saying we can not get to 80MPH and be able to do damage like that. I am just saying people who think our cars are "FAST" in general; I guess have never been in a fast automobile.
