sorry guys,but i tried to do a search and couldn't find any answers. i was just wondering what is the best tire size to go with if i am getting 18 inch wheels. and can i go with 18 x 8? oh and what decent tires do you guys recommend besides for Nankang and Sumitomo? any advice would be appreciated,thanks.

on tirerack they have General Exclaim UHP tires 235/40/18 for 97 dollars . I just picked them up over 2 weeks ago i like them better than the Sumitomo HTR Z II tires i had before . they not as noisy and ride better and from the reviews on tire rack they seem good for the price

hello guys. i just bought a 1998 nissan maxima with 50K miles on it and i was wondering what the BIGGEST wheel size and tire size i can fit on it without RUBBING? i wanna get some 18X7.5 inch chrome rims with 225 40 18 TIRES.... will this fit without rubbing? THANKS A BUNCH!

That will fit with no problem. You can go with a 18x8.5 with a 235-40-18 easily too. If you want to get the biggest you can without rubbing get a 20x8.5 with a 235-30-20 or a 245-30-20.

 

What the largest tire size I can go with 18s and a 2.2-2.5 inch drop?

 

235/40/18 is the BEST size for 18's on a Max. This maintains the same outside diameter, therefore keeping your speedometer reading correctly.
