Wow, I would think you would want to remove that caliper and see if you cant get the screw out with a screw extractor. The Craftsman ones are good. Then you will need a new bolt. Also, PB Blaster, and some heat might help but you will melt the little boots. Or, it may just be time to buy a rebuilt caliper.

I had problems with one of mine when I bought my car. I broke my dad's vice grip trying to twist/pull it out of the caliper. Try twisting it while you're trying to pull it out. I ended up getting it out though. PB blaster works well. Then I greased the **** out of it and put it back in. If you manage to get it out, make sure you clean the shaft the pin goes into as well. Good luck.

I'll check my tool box and see if I have an extra. I know I have a few extra caliper pins, but the bolts I dont know for sure. If I have it I could just send it to you.

I did that to my girlfriends car, but on her car the bolt and pin are one. so its was 11:47 pm, and the bolt was stripped and wouldnt come off, needless to say she didnt have her car to use for the next day . . .

Umm.. I'm pretty sure Autzone has the slider pins, and they come with bolts... why not just replace the pins as well.. They're like less than 10 bucks for a pair.

Maybe you should take out a loan to help pay for the 6 dollar bolts.

It is pricey man, $6 for a bolt? It would've been $12 for one had I not talked to a senior member there. I try not to pay the 'ridiculous prices' the dealership asks for; only if I really need to, in this case the bolt.

I tried to buy online but I needed the car to use. =\ I ain't as affluent as some others as well :rollseye:

If you can't afford a $12 dollar repair, then you shouldn't be driving a car.

It's not a matter of whether I could afford or not, but finding 'restraint' and reluctance in forking over $12 for JUST a BOLT ! I've seen other bolts on my other honda go for just a few dollars.

I own another car of my own my honda but I'm registered along w/ my dad for the maxima. But I take care of it and I take money out of my own pocket and time to do the repais in my power. Does that matter?

I would've taken the car to a shop and had them do all the work if I made the $$ but I don't, so I'm trynna do it myself.

Oh well, whatevers..

After i bought my 93, I found it was MISSING a bolt when took off the wheel. Needless to say, I went out and got a new one put in right away. Unfortunately i paid i think $18 for the bolt and nut at NAPA....
