check engine light....
#1
I have a 97SE and recently the service engine soon light came on. How can i find out what is wrong without bringing my car to nissan? Is there a way i can just reset something? I thought maybe it was because of my y-pipe, but i've had the pipe for 3 months now, would that be the cause?
help! any info is appreciated.

If you have a repair manual, there is instructions in there on how to read the ECU codes, and how to reset it. If you go to the Maxima FAQs there are instructions on how to do it as well.
